1. Agreement to rules
By entering the competition you agree to the rules outlined below.
2. Entry Fee
There is not entry fee.
3. Eligibility
Open to anyone who identifies as having a disability
4. How to enter
Add a submission by entering your details and an image and description of your art. The submission form can be found on the main page.

6. Entry limit
Each participant may submit only one entry per category.
7. Theme
All submitted works should represent or relate to the competition's designated theme: THAT'S COOL!. The judges will be encouraged to apply a liberal interpretation!
8. Submission Format
Entries must be submitted via the competition entry portal. Judging will therefore be based on the photographs of the art work only. The original piece of art should not be submitted.
The digitally submitted entries should be have been taken on a mobile phone thereby ensuring that format is JPEG with less than 5mb file size.
9. Submission Deadline
All artworks must be received by November 30th. Unfortunately late submissions will not be accepted.
10. Originality
All artwork must be original. Help from personal assistants and the use of aids and equipment designed to enhance day to day living are allowed. Reproductions or copies of other’s work are not permitted.​
11. Judging Panel
A panel of judges will be selected by the Competition Director to evaluate the artwork based on criteria such as creativity, originality, technique, and adherence to the theme. A list of judges will be posted on the competition web site prior to the commencement of the judging process. The judges will be drawn from a cross section of those interested in or working within the disability sector. The voting will be on the basis of one person one vote with the Competition Director having the casting vote in the event of a tie. The decision of the judges will be final.
12. Prizes
Amazon vouchers will be awarded in each of the three categories as follows;

13. Sponsorship
The competition is likely to attract interest from external organisations and sponsorship will be accepted at the Competition Director’s discretion provided that the sponsors brand and commercial interests are compatible with the competition’s ethos.
14. Notification
Winners will be notified via email or another preferred method of specified communication within 28 days of the entry close date. An official announcement will also be made on the competition website and through social media.
15. Copyright
Participants retain all rights to their artwork but grant the competition organizers the right to use images of the artwork for promotional and display purposes. Unless anonymity is specifically requested the organisers reserve the right to display the name of the artist on any entry.
16. Public Display
Selected artworks may be displayed in galleries, exhibitions, or online as part of the competition's promotion. It would be helpful if for a period of 1 month, winning or highly commended works of art in the painting and ceramics category could be made available to the organisers for exhibition. All transportation costs will be borne by the organisers.
17. Liability
The organizers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged artwork during submission or exhibition, albeit all reasonable care will be taken.
18. Disqualification
Participants may be disqualified for failure to adhere to any of the competition rules. This would, of course be as a last resort.
19. Changes to Rules
The Competition Director reserves the right to amend the rules and guidelines at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes in a timely manner by email.
20. Interpretation
The Competition Director will be the sole arbiter of any dispute, interpretation or implementation.
21. Data Protection
Personal details will not be shared with any third party. Information will be retained only for the purpose of acknowledging entries, answering enquiries and notifying of the competition results and any further competition. It will not be used for any commercial purpose.
